Rockweiler… from the Chalice of Mystery

The Rockweiler attacked the first dwarf when he reached the
center of the left wall. The wily creature masqueraded as part of the
wall and fi lled the opening to the cave. The beast’s attack revealed
the opening to the cavern behind the boulder-like creature. The
monster was ten feet tall, ten feet wide with stony appendages which
acted as hands and feet. It crushed the unfortunate dwarf!
The creature was slow. It looked like a big boulder with eyes,
arms, and legs.
“What manner of creature is this?” Knarra queried.
The men moved away from the beast. Farlow, one of the more
experienced Rangers in the group, hit the beast with his sword, but
his blade only chipped off a small piece of rock.
Knarra looked perplexed.
“I don’t see the necessity of a Slow Spell,” she mused.
“Watch the opening!” Farlow warned.
An archer fi red an arrow- the arrow bounced off the hulking
creature.
Knarra urged, “Move away from it!”

The priestess called a column of fire from the sky and the flame
struck the Rockweiler but had no effect on the beast.
The men and dwarves retreated down the passage.
Knarra pointed her staff. A bolt of lightning erupted and struck
the creature but had no effect.
Growls came from the opening.
The Rockweiler rumbled toward them.
